4Uth Awards Celebrate Outstanding Youth Achievements

More than 65,000 people have engaged through social media channels as part of Nottinghamshire County Council’s 4Uth Awards, with more than 80 young people being nominated for outstanding achievements.

18 year old Brodie Colton from Ashfield has been nominated for the work she has done campaigning about youth issues in her area, whereas Mansfield’s George Dove who is also 18 was nominated for his tireless efforts as an international ambassador related to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

County Council Leader Alan Rhodes and the Vice-Chair for Children and Young People’s Services Liz Plant will now help to judge the overall winner of the awards.

Councillor Rhodes said, “Thank young to everyone who has been involved in this year’s awards. It is great news that the campaign has resonated with so many people on social media.”

Meanwhile Councillor Plant added, “Nominations have once again demonstrated the amazing achievements and successes of our young people across Nottinghamshire. Awards night will be a very special occasion once again.”

The ceremony where the achievements of all those nominated will take place at County Hall on the 28th of October.
