5th May, 2012 - Sad sad news... ... broke last night with the passing of one of my musical heros - MCA. Adam Yauch lost his battle with cancer yesterday, but has left an incredible musical legacy.

One of the founder members of the Beastie Boys, he was a true musical legend, revolutionising the world of hip hop. Much of my younger years were spent listening to the Beasties, so feeling very sad about it all this morning. I've not experienced the early death of too many of my musical idols, so it's a bit of a shocker.

My personal fav is Ill Communication or Licensed to Ill. Both are timeless classics!
Anyway, on a more cheery note, it's the bank holiday weekend - 50% extra free weekend! And the Stags are in action on Monday, fingers crossed for a win against York and then we can all book our tickets to the playoff final!
